THERAPEUTIC TECHNIQUES

How We Work With Individuals

We use a variety of evidenced-based modalities and maintain client-centered approaches. This allows us to center all our sessions and work around what the client needs/wants and allows them to be fully in control of their treatment.

01

CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, evidence-based form of psychotherapy that helps people understand and change unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. It is based on the idea that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. By changing negative thought patterns and behaviors, a person can improve how they feel.

02

DBT

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a structured form of psychotherapy that helps people manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and reduce harmful behaviors. It combines principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with mindfulness and acceptance strategies. DBT teaches practical skills to help people stay present, tolerate distress, manage emotions, and interact more effectively with others.

03

Trauma Informed

Trauma-informed therapy focuses on understanding the impact of trauma and creating a safe, empowering therapeutic environment where healing can occur gradually and respectfully. This technique does not refer to one specific method. Instead, it guides how therapy is delivered while incorporating different techniques such as: grounding exercises, somatic strategies, cognitive restructuring, mindfulness practices and EMDR informed interventions.

04

Mindfulness

Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy teaches individuals to focus their attention on the present moment with openness and without judgment. It helps people become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations so they can respond to them in healthier ways rather than reacting automatically.

Mindfulness approaches are often used to treat conditions such as anxiety, depression, stress, and chronic pain. They also help people develop greater emotional balance and self-awareness.
